Polity Atlas is an offline revision tool for Indian Polity (articles, amendments and schedules of the Constitution of India), built for UKSSSC/UKPCS and similar exam aspirants.
The app does not require an account, does not collect your name, email, or any personal information, and does not run its own servers. Everything you do inside the app โ your theme choice, language, weak-topic marks, and game progress โ stays on your device. The only outside connection the app makes is to serve banner ads through Google AdMob, and, only when you explicitly tap the ๐ button, to open your browser at Google Search.
We (the developer of Polity Atlas) do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
There is no login, no sign-up, and no server operated by us that the app talks to.
The app saves a small amount of data using your browser engine's local storage, purely to remember your preferences between sessions. This data never leaves your device and is not visible to us:
| Stored value | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Theme (dark/light) | Remembers your display preference |
| Language (Hindi/English) | Remembers your reading preference |
| Weak-topic marks (โญ) | Your personal revision list |
| Game progress & level unlocks | Saves your quiz scores and unlocked levels |
| Mastery stats | Powers the part-wise progress dashboard |
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of this data, since it is never copied anywhere else.
Polity Atlas shows a small banner ad, served by Google AdMob, to support free access to the app. AdMob's SDK may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as your Android Advertising ID), approximate location, and other technical data to select and measure ads, independently of us. This collection is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not by Polity Atlas:
policies.google.com/privacy ยท Google's Ad Partner policy
You can reset or limit your device's advertising identifier at any time from your Android settings (Settings โ Privacy โ Ads).
When you tap the ๐ button on an article's detail card, the app builds a search query from that article's number and title and opens it in your device's default browser at Google Search โ it does not happen automatically, and does not send any personal data, only the constitutional article/amendment text you tapped on. That search is then subject to Google's own privacy policy, the same as any other search you'd run yourself. Before opening the browser, the app saves a short-lived note on your device (which article you had open) purely so that returning to Polity Atlas takes you back to the same screen โ this note never leaves your device and expires automatically after 20 minutes.
Polity Atlas requests only the INTERNET permission โ needed solely to load ads and to let the ๐ button open your browser. It does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, storage, location, or any other sensitive permission.
Polity Atlas is built for competitive-exam aspirants (UKSSSC, UKPCS and similar) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children, and โ as explained above โ we don't collect personal information from any user, of any age.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same page with a revised effective date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
